Industrious, the largest flexible workspace provider in the US, expanded its Boston presence at Copley in the Back Bay neighborhood, where a hospitality-driven workplace experience aligned with the brand’s ethos, “The Workplace Experience, Redefined.”

Challenge
Designing within a traditionalist building introduced the need to balance Industrious’ modern brand identity with the existing architectural character. The space also needed to support a large and diverse membership base within a deep floor plate while prioritizing wellbeing, productivity, and flexibility.
Solution
Our team designed a premium coworking experience that supports productivity and well-being through open, light-filled spaces complemented by a range of private conference rooms, offices, wellness areas, and focus rooms. Amenity spaces are framed by archways and stone finishes inspired by Boston’s brownstone architecture, while a modern aesthetic incorporates a green-blue palette reflecting the region’s marine character.
Outcome
As the client’s fourth and largest Boston location, the result was the creation of a unique space that integrates local elements to inspire productivity and crafts a unique experience for its members. Delivered across all phases, the project supports long-term member satisfaction while reinforcing Industrious’ presence in a competitive urban market within a context of luxury retail, dining, and residential offerings.
