With a distinctive look and branding, Nugget Markets is one of Northern California’s premier natural and organic grocers, serving communities throughout the Sacramento region as well as Marin and Sonoma counties.
Challenge
The challenge was to modernize existing retail locations while reinforcing the character and personality that defines the Nugget Markets brand. The design also needed to create a consistent customer experience across multiple locations while allowing each store to maintain its own identity.
Solution
We provided architectural and interior design services for the renovation of Nugget Markets locations in Woodland and Novato Corte, California. The scope included interior improvements and exterior façade renovations designed to create an upscale European market aesthetic, incorporating new lighting, trellises, and a distinctive awning that establishes a fresh, contemporary appearance.
Outcome
While intentionally not identical, the two remodeled stores are unmistakably part of the Nugget Markets family. The renovations strengthen the brand’s distinctive identity while creating a more refined and visually engaging shopping environment for customers.
