As part of RH’s continued expansion across North America and Europe, RH Palo Alto, The Gallery at Stanford delivers an immersive luxury lifestyle experience that merges design, retail, and hospitality under one roof.
Challenge
The challenge was to reimagine a landmark Palladian-style estate as one of RH’s largest and most immersive physical expressions of its brand. Luxury home furnishings, hospitality experiences, and modern building systems needed to be integrated with great respect for the property’s original vision as a private residence.
Solution
We provided full architectural services for all phases of work, from concept design to permit management, construction administration and documentation to structural consulting. An elegant juxtaposition of relaxed and refined, the landmark property reflects the brand’s continued foray into hospitality with The Dining Room, a dramatic restaurant that opens onto a 35-acre forest landscape.
Outcome
Sustainable concepts blend with classical design elements, including water efficient fixtures, LED lighting, daylighting zoned lighting, high efficiency mechanical systems, and solar-ready infrastructure integrated into the roof system. The estate represents one of the largest, most inspiring and immersive physical expressions of the brand to date.
