Principal, Structural Engineering, North America P.Eng.
Shatha Nasser is a problem solver who turns ideas into workable solutions by balancing technical requirements with architectural intent to create constructable buildings.

A Registered Professional Engineer with more than 25 years of experience across commercial, hospitality, industrial, public, residential, and transit buildings, Shatha works with a broad range of structural systems and construction methods. She helps clients weigh the cost, performance, and constructability of concrete, steel, wood, and masonry systems to make informed investment decisions.

Shatha combines strong technical depth with project leadership and a practical understanding of design and construction. Throughout her career, she has led structural teams, worked closely with clients and project partners, and guided projects from early design through construction. She brings a collaborative approach to understanding client needs, developing practical solutions, and addressing challenges throughout the project lifecycle.

Reducing carbon emissions is always on Shatha’s radar. She challenges unnecessary structural weight and oversized members, aligning lower-carbon options with cost, availability, and performance. This practice reinforces NORR’s commitment to the SE 2050 Challenge which targets net-zero embodied carbon for structural components of a building by 2050.

An avid podcast listener, Shatha values continuous learning through the exchange of ideas that build connections between people.
