Thank you U.S. Green Building Council for recognizing NORR with the 2026 USGBC Local Leadership Award for Organizational Excellence in the Michigan market.
For over 15 years, NORR team members have partnered with USGBC Michigan—delivering LEED-certified projects, serving in Michigan Market Leadership Advisory Board roles (including Chair), and supporting the organization through sponsorship and volunteer engagement. We’re also helping shape what’s next by supporting the Student Design Competition as it expands nationally.
While many in our Detroit office have contributed to these efforts, we’d like to recognize Laura Long, Senior Designer, Sustainability, and USGBC Michigan representative, for her dedication and advocacy for a more resilient and equitable built environment. It seems fitting that this recognition comes on the day of her retirement from NORR.
Congratulations to all of the 2026 U.S. Local Leadership Award recipients for advancing sustainable, healthy, and resilient communities.
