Located in Santa Clara at the heart of Silicon Valley’s technology hub, CoreSite’s SV4 Data Center was developed to meet growing demand for high-density digital infrastructure as part of CoreSite’s Silicon Valley campus.
Challenge
Supporting rapidly evolving digital workloads required a facility capable of delivering reliability, scalability, and flexibility over the long term. The design also needed to accommodate a range of colocation environments while meeting the stringent performance demands of mission-critical operations.
Solution
Our architectural and structural engineering teams designed a two-story, Tier III facility built for reliability, flexibility, and growth. Supporting cabinets, cages, private suites, and build-to-suit deployments, the data center combines comprehensive security and continuous operations with amenities including office space, conference rooms, a tech lounge, and kitchen facilities.
Outcome
As a result, the facility incorporates N+1 redundancy across all major systems, mission-critical controls and monitoring, and a 100 percent uptime SLA. SV4’s continued relevance supports the kinds of workloads that drive the digital economy. The project provides customers with access to a rich ecosystem of cloud, network, and IT providers, while demonstrating how resilient, scalable infrastructure can remain valuable through multiple generations of technology.
The facility incorporates N+1 redundancy across all major systems and is backed by a 100% uptime SLA
Designed to support cabinets, cages, private suites, and build-to-suit environments, the facility provides flexibility for organizations as infrastructure needs evolve.

Located in Santa Clara at the center of Silicon Valley’s global technology hub, CoreSite’s SV4 Data Center was designed to meet sustained demand for high density digital infrastructure. The facility sits within CoreSite’s Silicon Valley campus, enabling customers to tap into a robust ecosystem of cloud, network, and IT providers and to interconnect across the region.
Our architectural and structural engineering work focused on the design of a two-story, Tier III facility built for operational reliability and long-term flexibility. The program supports a range of colocation deployments, including cabinets, cages, private suites, and build-to-suit environments, paired with comprehensive security and continuous onsite operations. This adaptability gives customers room to grow as their infrastructure needs evolve and supports the rising demands of AI, machine learning, and data intensive workloads.
The facility incorporates N+1 redundancy across all major systems, mission-critical controls and monitoring, and a 100 percent uptime SLA. SV4 also includes office space, conference rooms, tech lounge, and kitchen to support day-to-day needs on site.
Today, SV4’s continued relevance supports the kinds of workloads that drive the digital economy. It shows how well-designed critical facilities are about infrastructure that stays resilient, scalable, and valuable through multiple generations of technology.
